About this place
Set along the drinking quarters of Monzen-nakacho, Nice Idea is a counter-focused izakaya offering an unhurried setting for a meal alongside drinks. It serves equally well for a hearty dinner or an easygoing drink at the counter.
Substantial noodle bowls form the centerpiece of the food menu. The Black Ramen and Black Tsukemen, available with 5 selectable spice levels, offer deep richness and peppery punch. For classic profiles, the kitchen prepares tonkotsu shoyu ramen and tonkotsu gyokai tsukemen, both customizable with tender char siu or seasoned boiled eggs. Pairing these with chashu rice, topped with savory roasted pork, makes for a satisfying combination.
The beverage list covers ample ground, spanning draft and bottled beers, whiskies suited for highballs, bourbon, gin, and vodka. Diners can also select sake ranging from sweet to dry, shochu distilled from barley, rice, sweet potato, or blended spirits, refreshing fruit-vinegar micho highballs, plum liqueur, and full bottles of wine and champagne.
Doors open from 18:00 on weekdays and from 15:00 on Saturdays and Sundays, making early weekend drinks an easy option. Seat reservations are accepted, and mobile payments such as PayPay and Rakuten Pay can be used at checkout.
